Paul W. Duty

Paul Duty, a native of Nashville, TN, has been engaged in the general practice of law in the State of Tennessee for over fifteen years. At Merritt, Webb, Wilson & Caruso, PLLC, he handles Tennessee traffic and motor vehicle related matters. Mr. Duty greatly enjoys working for the firm and assisting clients in this area of practice. He has received many commendations from LegalShield for providing outstanding customer service and is a recipient of the Members’ Choice award given in recognition of the best provider attorney in the State of Tennessee.
Mr. Duty began his legal career in 2000 with the firm of John H. Lowe & Associates in general practice. In 2005, he joined the firm of Blackburn & McCune. Thereafter, he worked for Berry, Quackenbush & Stuart, P.A. In 2006, he was invited to work for Merritt, Webb, Wilson & Caruso, PLLC, where he continues his practice. He has sat as special judge for the Davidson County Mental Health Court and produced continuing legal educational seminars for the Nashville Bar Association.
Mr. Duty enjoys spending time with his family. He actively participates in many church, charitable, fraternal and historic preservation organizations and events. He is an active member of The United Methodist Church, Hiram Lodge # 7 F & A.M., Nashville Scottish and York Rite Bodies, and Al Menah Shriners. His primary interests include church work, history and historical work and research, reading, gardening, fishing and outdoor activities, dining and travel. He has enjoyed working with and showing a classic muscle cars since his teenage years. He is currently enjoying his transition from athletic participant to spectator and is also a life-long die hard supporter of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Mr. Duty has also participated in The Movember Foundation’s “five million moustaches” program to promote awareness of men’s health issues.
