‘Tis The Season For Giving

With all of the hype about the holiday shopping season it’s easy to sometimes forget that the holidays are also about giving back. With that in mind, here are some local charities that need help this holiday season;

  • The Wake County Animal Center is accepting safe play toys, like Kong Chew Toys and Fabric Toys for homeless pets.

  • Urban Ministries of Durham are in dire need of winter clothes for men, women, and children, as well as hygiene products.

  • Crisis Assistance ministry of Charlotte is looking for clothing for men, women, and children, kitchenware, and personal items to sell in their free store for needy families.

  • Harvest Hope Food Bank of the Midlands is collecting canned meat, fish, peanut butter, canned vegetables and fruits, breakfast cereals, personal care items at Jim Hudson Toyota and other convenient locations!

  • The Nashville Ronald McDonald House is looking for Holiday donations for families of children who are critically ill and receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. They need, amongst other things, DVDs, winter hats, a high chair and more. View the complete list at;
